Post by Amazingmaze » Mon Jul 11, 2011 3:09 pm

Hey,

Does anyone know in which year this G12T-75 was made?
I can't find any information on the internet ...
What's the value of this speaker?

Thanks,
Matthias

If you look on the side of the frame there will be a stamped number in black ink, that should tell you the date code.

Not many people try to date match the 75s!!

There are two numbers:
-) 1777
-) 226AT3760/14

Do you have any clue?
I'd like to determine the date because I'd like to sell four of these.

Well the 1777 cone is a lead cone

T3760 is the overall spec.

Only date codes list I know are here:http://www.unclespot.com/celestion_date_codes.html

Is it 1991 (is that /1A actually ZA?

Thanks for the info!
It could be ZA but I'm not sure.

Can you suggest a value of this speaker? I'd like to sell it.

1991 is very likely it, that's right when they used that type of sticker for a short time. It's also kind of a transition time for the date codes and order of "month year day", etc. Both "Z" (earlier, like "CZ15" G10S50 with this sticker that's 3/91) and "A" (later) appeared as 1991 codes.
