ask dr.decibel on the celestion site.

but if you are thinking of putting a new cover on an old speaker it wont work. the modern green G12H covers for the heritage series are bigger than the vintage ones and do not fit properly, I have tried.

That would work perfect the because I have these custom built speakers that have 60oz mag as opposed to 50 oz so it may fit snug!

BG, well that sucks. I contacted Rick @ Celestion about getting some since I got an old cab from Bob Reinhardt that was missing the magnet covers on the T1281 G12H30's (yes with 102 014 cones folks!). Since I'm still completing my move from storage, and waiting for the demo room to be finished I hadn't pulled that cab out to do the retrofit.

Are they too deep or too wide?

from what I remember its a bit of both. but you might get away with putting a bit of padding inside the magnet cover or something.

ive still got the unused magnet cover but have since sold the G12H speaker so i cant go and have another look. it was a pre-rola t1281 i wanted it for too.

they are pretty generous at celestion if you ask nicely. they sent me the magnet cover for free. ive also had dust caps and things from them for free. very good of them i thought.

Huh, width looks like it should work, but I can see the depth is greater. I remember seeing some of the older pre rolas that had like a double stick tape on the insides plus the usual speaker cover glue. That may explain it.

Well, crap. I got 3 or 4 from the Celestion rep to retrofit some pre rola T1281's I got from Bob Reinhardt that had lost their covers. Now I have to go bitch at Bob. :palm:
