Speaker Connectors

Post by lidesnowi » Fri Oct 01, 2010 5:18 pm

I am about to beef up the internal wiring in my cab with thicker speaker cable and wonder what these connectors is called :? , and where to get em ?
I'm thinking those original hair thin cables Marshall use can't be optimal .
Here's a pick

Spade connectors (sometimes called push terminals). But I wouldn't trust those. Liable to corrode and/or loosen. Solder is your friend.
So I like purple, okay!!!!!!

if you get the connectors good and tight you should be good, i have seen 30 odd year old peavey cabinets with those connectors and they work fine i have never had problems with those but i just make sure they are tight and are unlikely to come off, sometimes i'd solder the wire on to the spade
