extra tall 1960tv atop extra tall 1982b stack?

Post by Brandon » Sun Sep 12, 2010 12:24 pm

Just wondering if anyone has seen this pulled off.

Extra tall 1960tv cab with extra tall 1982b cab.... sounds interersting. :D I wonder if it would be the tallest stack ever.

I wonder if it would sound any different than a regular stack.

I haven't done it...yet. But I have the tall bottom cab, and I have a reissue 1960TV cab to take measurements from, then do the 60's bracing/construction changes to a new cab. Pretty sure this is still a month away or so, however. Gonna shoot to have it for the LA AMP Show if I can.

Yes keep posted!

Yeah I have a 1960tv cab, but I was thinking... if I ever wanted to full stack it, it would be kind of weird to sit that extra tall 1960tv cab on top of a normal squarish cab... it would look kind of weird! SO that got me to thinking, why not put together the largest full stack that marshall has ever made!

I'll prob be at the la amp show, hope to see it there.

I'm afraid the tall slant cab won't be at the show. Just got too much going on with other projects to make this happen in time and get the EC cloth on it, too.

But there will be the tall bottom/regular slant on top of it, both with EC cloth so hopefully that will suffice.

hate to burst your bubble but the biggest marshall stack has been made 2 4x15 cabs pal. although a tv cab and a 1982 tall 4x12 will be a pretty awesome site!
