HELP with vintage Celestion pre-Rola 25w Greenbacks (repair)

Post by antosimoni » Mon Jul 26, 2010 3:05 pm

Hi
I just got a couple 1970 all original Celestion greenbacks 25w (with Pulsonic xxx 003 cones) but I noticed that the Suspension surrounding the cone, that connects the cone with the metal chassis, is almost completely unglued (nothing broken) on the outer perimeter (where the Suspension is glued with the metal chassis) can someone please recommend me the perfect glue to do this repair ??? I dont want to run this speakers without repairing Ive been advised it could be really harmful for my speakers
thanks a lot for any info/sugggestion
in loudspeakers we trust

give Jim at Scumback speakers a shout, if he don't know, nobody will.

Bostic multi bond, or good old Tarzan's grip. Both pretty much the same stuff, I have used both many times.
