Are there short and long plate sylvania 12ax7wa?

I've been on ebay looking for tubes and thispic intrigued me. The tube on the left looks to have short plate the one next to it a long plate. Both clearly say 12ax7wa. What do we want the long or short?

Yeah I know! But everybody is saying to use the 12zx7wa and now I see that there are long plate and short plate ones. I'm curious which one is the one to get-long or short?

I personally prefer the long plates. It really is up to the individual, though.

You can't go wrong with long plates

Steve (SDM) sent me a later Sylvania 12ax7 (not WA version) that I'm gonna do a test report on once I've got my custom guitar reassembled (it's being refinished, but I don't have much time right now for it). So far with my strat I really like what I hear, similar to and maybe even better than a Mullard for V1 with the strat i.m.o.
