Barber Direct Drive
I'm thinking of getting one. I've only heard sound clips though. I plan on using it with my Gibson GA-5 5 watter for getting some drive at lower volumes. Anyone here played through one?

A guy that posted here briefly brought one to my place for me to try along with a Klon and a Crowther HotCakes. The Barber was a great solid overdrive. Did a good clean boost and a really nice, sweet overdrive that wasn't over the top -- think Larry Carlton and guys of that nature. I didn't really push it to the limits to see just how much grind it would come up with. It and the HotCakes both worked well with either a Strat or a Les Paul -- whereas the Klon was utter magic with the Gibson but blah with the Strat.

Got in the Barber DD . Awesome sounding pedal, and for the money I may get another
Flames, It can crank out some grind. It seems TS'ish with the tone pushed in and fat with harmonics when pulled out. I use it with the fat setting with the Les Paul and it is sweet. I noticed that it has alot of boost as well. With the fat switch engaged I have to bring the level down to 10:00 to match my little amp. I haven't tried it with my Marshall yet. I'm homeless at the moment wating for the big move. I'll try it this weekend at my buddys house on the Marshall 100 watter.
