ANNOUNCEMENT! NJ AMPFEST
Gentlemen,
I am holding another ampfest on Saturday January 28, 2006 in Kenilworth, NJ. There is no admission fee, just bring yourself , your friends and any gear you want to show off. Vintage, Boutique or homebrews are all welcome. Guitars, amps, speakers and effects or you could just show up to see what everyone else is playing. Time will be from 12 noon to about 6pm.
Directions: Garden State Parkway to exit 138. turn left at traffic light onto "BOULEVARD" (yes that is the entire name of the street. Not very creative but it is what it is.) Go about 500 feet and turn left at the light onto "Market Street. There will be a car wash on the left. Go to the end of Market street until you cannot go straight anymore and make a left onto "Colfax Ave". About 200 feet up you will see an orange sign for "Plating Products" on the left. Turn left at the sign into our driveway.
Address is: 840 Colfax Ave. Kenilworth, NJ 07033
Any further questions can be directed to me via email. Please include "AMPFEST" in the subject line!
Thank You
Greg

It'd be great to meet ya in person George. This fest is turning out to be a good one. Original early 70's SLP 100 watter and Brians Metro 69 100 will be there along with one or more JTM-45s, Fireflies, plethora of 18 watters (both standard and TMB), hopefully a 36 watter based on the layout me and Richie Hall put together (he designed it...I drew it), trainwreck, etc. Last time there were a couple nice fender clones, a Dr. Z route 66, and a germino head so I'm sure there are some amps making it I haven't heard about, yet. Anyway, it's shaping up to be a fun time...lots of new faces. It would be nice if Dan could get a 65 "london" there or Gabi one of his Voxers...something magical in them there EF86 channels. Just as an aside, I was one of the few that got to jam on Brian's metro plexi before it went *poof* at the last one....have to give props where props are due...that is a serious kit amp you've put together there, brother...and Brian's lead dress still floors me when I see the pics.

oh and the amp will be tubed with '01 EI's from TubeTramp, my new favorite preamp tube. They KILL. Also just ordered a quad of brown base big bottle rsm-tooled Chinese Harma KT77 (really EL34's) from him that he swears by. They'll be in the amp if I like 'em. Good chance for everyone to get an idea of the Sarge's tubes.

I would say either the superbass (so folks can compare to the SLP) or the SLO. You could also post asking folks' preferences at 18watt:

Greg might be able to chime in on it. Whatever the case, it'll be good to meet you.

P.S. It looks like I'll finally get the chance to try out the Earos ear plugs I picked up...heh.
