Traynor YBA-1 Bassmaster Tube?

Post by ohmygodtheykilledkenny » Thu May 04, 2006 9:31 pm

I recently picked up a Traynor Bassmaster from a friend and am now at the point of swapping tubes. I would really like to put Groove Tubes KT-66 HP's in it but I need to know whether or not I need to swap the bias resistor. If so, what should I swap it to?
I'm not sure of the year, but it has the top that comes off with no hinges.

Any help would be appreciated as this is my first tube amp.

Hi!
I'm just pitting the finishing touches on a YBA1 myself. Go here
http://www.lynx.bc.ca/~jc/traynorSchmArchive.html
And have a look. One of the downloads has about 6 different schematics for various vintages of the YBA1. If you find yours then maybe we can help with your quest.
