GIBSON BR6

Post by Leif_Bodnarchuk » Sat Feb 11, 2006 7:19 am

I'm excited - I have a BR6 to look over and maybe restore if it's worth it.

No speaker though.

Anyone else have any experience with one or one like it?

I'll post pics later

Nice, I found a BR6 in terrible condition at a rummage sale once. I fixed it up, but that field coil speaker isn't very efficient. That amp is pretty quiet. Maybe there's something wrong with the speaker or OT.

Cool amp though. You'll probably have better results than I did.

My favorite vintage guitar store here in town closed up before I could start raiding the pile of vintage Gibson amps he had in the front. Oh, well.

I really, really wanted a GA40 but they're now worth an arm and a leg.

P2P wiring is a little confusing when you compare it with the schematic I have :D
