transformer swap ?'s

So after much thought into the issue I have decided I am going to put a bigger OT in my 68 bandmaster. Now my only question is which one to get. What is the difference between the blackface and blonde bassman trannies if any? What about a blonde bandmaster trannie? Or even a tweed bassman trannie? What do you guys think? Also, heyboer or mercury magnetics. The heyboer have a much more reasonable price but I want to make sure they have the correct specs for the bassman trannie.

If Heyboer is listing a Fender tranny, then it's made from specs that they got tearing a blown one down. You can call them to double check of course, but it should be right on.

i put a Heyboer Bassman-type OT in one of my '65 Bandmaster heads--- i got the OT with 4/8/16 secondary taps so i can use this head with almost any cab---- i put a rotery switch in the Ext speaker jack hole----everybody loves the tone of this amp now-

-it was pretty abused when i got it--- bad PT, Super Reverb 2 ohm OT, leaky filter caps, burnt screen resistors, etc--- i also got a 4/8/16 Heyboer OT for my '68 Dual Showman at the same time---- very happy with the way both these heads came out...........gldtp99

just ordered the tranny from mojo, hopefully it gets here quick cause I'm leaving in 30 days and want the amp done before the tour.
