Rickenbacker 4001

Post by johniss0001 » Wed Jan 04, 2006 5:27 pm

hey guys i was asked to value a rickenbacker 4001 bass for the people that gave me the 78 super bass ( which is in bits at the moment) so i looked at the guitar and thought wow what a nice guitar, she is in museum condition. Any ricki players on this forum will tell me how fantastic this bass is. so i picked up the guitar with respect to the boy who died's parents i asked them to play it and oh my god that bass felt so right, the action is really low and fast. The bass is like lemmy's in maple glo i was nearly drooling over it. So the father of the bass asked me to try to find a buyer for it over the net, i went home and did my research into that guitar and the more i did the more interested i became in it. so when i see the people again which won't be too long as i have to fix their computer. I am going to say to them that i have found a buyer but it will take time to raise the money and then i will say the buyer is me, heck they might just give the bass to me as they want it to go to a good home to where it will be used and appreciated and let me tell ya she will be appreciated with me.

Pics to follow shortly

Don't BS them, tell them that you might be interested because you want a bass. Say you would be willing to pay for it.

And if they truly are the type that would agree to GIVING it away, they would say, "Oh no, you can have it for free. We dont want your money".

i know, the bass has been lying for 16 years after their boy died and they feel this is time to do something about it.
